Mother’s Day – عيد الأم

‘When you have kids, you’ll know what I mean’

A sentence my mum used to say to me when I was younger and I used to ignore it!

Getting pregnant, giving birth, becoming a mum is a one hell of a tough task yet a great one.

Every night I stay up watching my sick child or feeding my newborn I remember you.

Every moment I spend thinking/researching what’s healthy to cook for her, what outfits would look cute on her, what activities should I sign her up for , I remember you

Everytime I see how her room turned into a mad mess after I have JUST cleaned it, I definitely remember you.

Every thought I give to what education I prefer for her, every effort I make to put her in a school I believe would be the best for her, I remember you.

Mama..I am suffering with only one child onboard and already drained with a newborn being added to the equation.
You did it not with one or two or three but with four children. How?
And you looked pretty..all the time!

تعالي شوفيني..غوريلا..لا و مش غوريلا عادية، غوريلا منكوشة و مش نايمة من تلت سنين

Mama..now I know what you mean
I wish you would have clarified more

بدل الغموض اللي سيبتيني فيه ده

انا كنت بنت ستين في سبعين يوم ما سافرت بعيد عنك
مش كان زماني رميالِك العيال نص الوقت

Mama..I am forever grateful to you, for you have given me the best of everything and made me who I have become.

Happy Mother’s Day
